FOR NON-SKIERS & SKIERS ALIKE

We're going to the French Alps (outside Geneva, Switzerland): Our beautiful home for the eight nights is in the French village of Peillonnex, France. This awesome home sleeps 25 people comfortably.

"But," you ask, "what about skiing?" There is Sommand, Praz de Lyz ski region, a great place for beginners. Samoens, Flaine ski region is for all levels of skiing. Chamonix, Argentieres ski region is only 40 minutes away. Other places to ski are Porte de Soleil, Chatel & Megeve.

So Much to Do and See

There is an amazing amount to do within a 1-hour radius from our house, much of which is free (transportation included).

The city of Geneva (30 minutes away & the center of everything) itself is packed with world-renowned museums and art galleries, plus many other interesting places of interest. And enjoying Geneva at night is also a treat. Then there is:

  • The medieval walled village of Yvoire and old town Annecy (the Venice of France);
  • the spas of Lekerbaud (yes, bring your bathing suit);
  • Evian; Lausanne; hiking, rafting and caving, and
  • the list goes on and on...

Paris, Etc.

For those with a larger budget, there are trains that leave from Geneva to...

Paris • Venice • Milan • Bern • Zermat

...and an overnight at these locations would probably be best. Of course, if you would like to, you can fly from Geneva to other European destinations that are further away and flights can be quite reasonable.
